Herceg Novi is located in a strategic and attractive geographical area between the highest mountain of the Dinaric massif, Orjen (1895 m), and the entrance to one of the most beautiful bays in the world, the Bay of Kotor (Boka Kotorska).
Since 2000, the Bay of Boka Kotor has been included in the register Asotiation the most beautiful bays in the world.
The Dizdarica airport is primarily intended for flying paragliders. It is located on the southern side of Mount Orjen. The terrain is oriented south, towards the sea, and consists of two stepped ridges in front and a mountain in the background of the airstrip. During sunny days, it provides good conditions for flying. The terrain is rocky and overgrown with low and medium-high vegetation. Flying at the Dizdarica airport mainly takes place on a low route to the landing ground in Zelenica in a length of 3.5 km.
For paragliding flying at the airfield, the southern components of the wind are dominant, i.e. wind from the direction of the sea.
Weather and wind at the spot: typical Mediterranean weather conditions; no special warnings. South wind components are best for flying. Mandatory is to familiarize yourself with the spot through the manual.

The flying site is located within the CTR zone of Tivat Airport. Users of the flying site are required to study the “Dizdarica” flying site usage manual. Pilots must contact the club at least 30 minutes in advance using one of the designated methods and announce their flight! After landing, it is necessary to report the end of activity and check out. Flying in controlled airspace without prior notice and approval is prohibited.
